Jack Miller Post-Doctoral Associate

The Yale Center for the Study of Representative Institutions in conjunction with the Jack Miller Center seek to appoint a Post-doctoral Associate for a period of one year, commencing July 1, 2015.  Preference will be given to candidates working on aspects of the political and theoretical foundations of representative government in the Atlantic world from 1650-1850. The Post-doctoral associate will be expected to teach one course per term, to participate in an annual summer institute, to assist in the organization of conferences, speaker series, and symposia, and to produce a final synthetic essay on his/her work.  Salary is $50,000 per year plus benefits.

Applicants should submit a cover letter stating qualifications and field of interest, a CV, a writing sample of no more than 50 pages, and a sample syllabus of a proposed course.
